Veterinary Calls
Call intake for mobile veterinary visits
A bounded workflow for visit requests, travel details, animal information, and urgent clinical escalation.
Confirm where the visit would happen
Start with the service address, property access, caller name and number, animal name and species, existing-client status, and broad reason for the request. Ask only the questions the practice has approved for scheduling.
Keep clinical judgment with the clinic
The assistant may document symptoms in the caller's own words and send them through the clinic's priority route. They should not diagnose, recommend medication, estimate prognosis, or decide that waiting is safe. Immediate danger follows the practice's emergency instruction.
Check the travel constraints
Mobile work depends on service radius, parking, stairs or gates, safe animal access, and the daily route. A visible calendar opening is not proof that travel fits. Mark the appointment requested until an authorized scheduler confirms it.
Close without overpromising
Read back the address, animal, request, access notes, current booking state, and next contact. If a clinician must call first, name that step. Clear status language protects both the family and the care team.
