Interpreter Scheduling
Booking court interpreters without losing case details
A call workflow for language, proceeding, credential, timing, and conflict checks before an interpreter assignment is confirmed.
Capture the proceeding exactly
Record the court or agency, case reference, proceeding type, date, start time, expected duration, location or remote platform, and booking contact. Repeat numbers and spell names back. A small transcription error can send the request to the wrong calendar.
Ask for the language as specified
Capture the requested language and any stated dialect or communication accommodation. Do not infer a language from a name, birthplace, accent, or prior booking. Route uncertainty to the scheduler.
Preserve credential and conflict requirements
Note the credential level the requester specifies, parties named for a conflict check, and any confidentiality instructions. The assistant should not declare an interpreter qualified or conflict free unless the approved system records that status.
Wait for assignment acceptance
Treat the call as a request until an authorized scheduler and interpreter accept it. The close should state what is confirmed, what remains under review, and who owns the next update.
